What is so good about wee-away™ from eco-works?
 
Urine contains salt crystals, which cannot be removed by traditional detergent products. Other products might be able to wash away the visible stain, however the odour is masked temporarily, only to return after a short time. wee-away™ is different. It uses friendly microbes to ‘eat’ these crystals, removing the cause of the stain and odour rather than just masking it.
 
Is wee-away™ safe to use in the home?
 
wee-away™ contains naturally occurring microbes, which are safe for humans and all animals. However this product is not designed to be used directly onto your pets.
 
Is wee-away™ environmentally friendly?
 
wee-away™ does not contain any harsh chemicals and is fully biodegradable. Please remember to recycle the bottle or purchase a 5 litre version of wee-away™ and use the bottle as a refill.

Will wee-away™ damage my carpets or upholstery?
 
wee-away™ is proven to be safe for use on most surfaces, but we recommend you test the product in an inconspicuous area first just to be sure.
 
Is wee-away™ just for dogs and cats?
 
wee-away™ is designed to be effective on all types of stains left by animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, horses and reptiles… including animal and human urine and vomit. Customers also tell us it is effective on many stubborn stains like faeces and red wine.
 
Can I dilute wee-away™?
 
Diluting or mixing wee-away™ with other cleaners will reduce its effectiveness.  If you have a larger area you wish to clean, we recommend using the undiluted product as a pre-treatment or we can provide wee-away in larger quantities.
 
What type of floors can wee-away™ be used on?
 
wee-away™ can be used on all types of flooring, including hardwood floors. Refer to the ‘how to use’ guide for advice on specific surfaces.
 
Can I use wee-away™ after I have cleaned my carpet?
 
Always treat the urine stain prior to cleaning your carpet. If you clean your carpet first any steam or water will spread the urine across the whole carpet area, making the problem more difficult to treat.
 
Can wee-away™ be used on bedding and mattresses?
 
wee-away™ will remove old stains from bedding and mattresses. For mattresses, several applications may be needed to remove the urine that has soaked into the padding of the mattress. Refer to the ‘how to use’ guide for more detailed advice.  
 
What if I have still got stains after using wee-away™?
 
The following are the common reasons why a stain might persists:

• Residue from other products –the presence of other products will reduce the effectiveness of wee-away™. Make sure that any residue from other cleaning products has been thoroughly washed away before re-applying wee-away.
  
  
• Urine stain is larger than the area treated - if you have already cleaned your carpet before using wee-away™, it is likely that the stain has now spread across the whole area and will need to be treated with wee-away. This is why we recommend using wee-away™ to treat the stain before using a carpet cleaner or shampooing your carpet.
  
  
• Urine has saturated the pad or sub floor underneath - the urine may have soaked through and pooled underneath the carpet or pad. You may need to treat a larger area. If possible, pull back the carpet and treat the padding and sub floor underneath.

The effectiveness of wee-away™ increases over time as the microbes gets to work.  For larger or more stubborn stains, treat the area and if possible leave for a 12-hour period. The longer you leave it the more effective the treatment will be.
