We have put an eco-cube in each urinal, but the backs of the urinal are still dirty?
It is very important to adhere to the Daily Cleaning Procedures and use our Urinal/Washroom Cleaner solution every day. This should be applied by a trigger spray bottle diluted 1:10 for the backs of the urinal or trough, and 1:30 for all other hard surfaces found in the washroom.
By spraying the diluted or pre-mixed Urinal/Washroom Cleaner on the backs of the urinal and on the floor and tiles around the urinal, the friendly microbes in the solution will get to work and breakdown any organic matter.
Where there are existing stains and old scale marks, a stiff scrubbing brush should be used. Remember to keep this scrubbing brush for this use only and not to use it for other cleaning tasks.
We have an eco-cube in each urinal but we are still experiencing the odd urinal blockage?
Ensure the Daily Cleaning Procedures are being adhered and consider using our new Flushing Can, which simplifies the action of pouring 3 litres of water down the urinal. The Flushing Can will evacuate the trap of any detritus and old scale that may be in the pipework. Regular use of the Flushing Can-particularly in the first few weeks of eco-cube being placed in a urinal will ensure the pipework is kept clear of old scale matter.
The purpose of the daily flush from a bucket or the Flushing Can is to create a hydraulic action, whereby a head or volume of water is quickly poured into the urinal and down into the trap to assist in flushing-out the trap of any detritus – such as hair and chewing gum that can cause the potential for a blockage.
I have turned off the flushing water at the cistern and put one eco-cube in each urinal but the cubes seem to be dissolving faster than anticipated?
It could be that there is still a night time flush from the cistern still going on and the PIR control may need to be adjusted accordingly. If the PIR control was adjusted to just one flush a day and night then this is quite acceptable and will not dissolve the cubes any faster. Frequent flushing, on an hourly and daily basis will dissolve the cubes more quickly.
Why shouldn’t chemicals, disinfectants or sanitizers be used with eco-cube?
eco-cube, along with our other range of products is a completely natural and environmentally friendly product, which is fully biodegradable.
Each eco-cube contains around 8 billion friendly bacteria and our Urinal/Washroom Cleaner solution contains bacteria of the similar quantity per millilitre.
eco-cube does not mix with artificial and toxic cleaning chemicals, and should not be used. Cross contamination from brushes and cloths that have been used elsewhere with disinfectants should be avoided.
Using eco-cube in the urinal and our microbial Urinal/Washroom Cleaner solution are the only two products a washroom needs.
Using just these two products on all hard surfaces, such as the WC’s, tiles, floors and enamel surfaces can be cleaned. By doing this, it ensures your washroom is a ‘green environment’, free of harmful cleaning chemicals and a healthier place to be.
